You just have a feeling that someone named Touki Toussaint will be a thorn in our side for many years to come. Later

I was there when D'Arnaud hit his first major league home run. The Mets lost, and gave up 11 runs that day, too. Something about him and the Mets giving up 11 runs, no matter which team he plays for. I don't want to see him any more. Later

When I became a Mets fan there weren't any players. There was just a team name. Later

    =kcmets post_id=42222 time=1596145068 user_id=53] That's the only place here I get good AM.

=nymr83 post_id=42216 time=1596140971 user_id=54] Given their relative ages they could all opt out as 'high risk', except Jeter. Jeter should be out there with the team boosting morale, inspiring greatness, handing out gift baskets, and social-distancing from ground-balls in the hole as he did during his playing career.

This post made me check and I found out that Gsellman is currently on the IL. I was wondering why we hadn't seen him yet this year. Later

Lefty Specialist wrote: He just seems too anxious so far. He's swinging at everything and he's looked awkward in the field. Maybe Dom gets a start at first if this keeps up. And maybe switch Pete to the decaf. I chalk it up to a righty power hitter seeing the Green Monster. It seems so close you can reach out and touch it, so the tendency is to over-swing , going for that "easy" home run. Let's see what happens when he returns to a more normal (whatever that is) ballpark. Later

He's working pretty well with what he's got... but the stuff all seems pretty "meh." Like, passable, but not impressive. A rookie lefty pitcher making his first major league start in Fenway Park? I think he just wanted to avoid jitters and just made sure he got the ball over the plate. Make that I hope. But whatever, it worked. Good debut, kid. Later

=nymr83 post_id=41998 time=1595976360 user_id=54] Atlanta DFAs Mike Foltynewicz - should the Mets be interested? I'd love to bring him in and see if he has anything left.

The 6'6" lefty was originally drafted by the SAWX and he turned them down for college (U of Oregon). He was later drafted #1 by the Mets and he signed with them. Later

The Mets have signed catcher Bruce Maxwell to a minor league contract. https://sports.yahoo.com/ap-source-mets-sign-c-maxell-1st-mlb-185923786--mlb.htmlhttps://sports.yahoo.com/ap-source-mets-sign-c-maxell-1st-mlb-185923786--mlb.html He was the first major league player to kneel during the National Anthem when he was with the A's. He was later arrested on a gun charge. Later
