  1. It's a Bader Laser! A Harrisbomb! Ohhhh, Suzyn
  2. Lefty Specialist wrote: I'd expect Lopez if this ineffectiveness persists. He has closing experience at least. This is probably the solution. The Mets probably wouldn't go to the trouble of developing a new closer in Diaz's face as much as we'd like it. They have too much invested in the light show.
  3. I feel Ottavino is too vulnerable for the 9th inning and like Garrett, more or less doing well in his current role. My suspicion is that anyone good enough to be on an MLB roster could plausibly be a closer, just with the right frame of mind and entrance music.
  4. F Diaz for a while at least. The way Mendoza has been using his guys you would guess it be Lopez or Ottavino, but I kinda hope they give it to Smith when he returns, just give him a slightly more aggressive walk-in music. What do you think?
  5. I've been watching but can't say it's very watchable
  6. Yeeeeeeahhhhhhh, SUCK it, Philadelphia!!!!11
  7. 1-He's not speaking in code. 2-Were the Mets to trade off the whole team at the deadline it would shock only those who can't remember last year.
  8. That damn NO FEES!!!! message came a day after I bought 7 tix for Lunchpail's birthday shindig. I want my $24.50 back!
  9. =batmagadanleadoff post_id=143486 time=1703268509 user_id=68] TOURNAMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. I think maybe giving Baty a 2-week vacation in Syracuse is not a bad idea at this time.
  11. Some Guy On Twitter suggested the Mets trade Wendle to Anaheim for Guillorme. Genius!
  12. That's not a sustainable setup. I swore Jose Iglesias woulda made the team out of spring training; he's what good teams have -- a competent defensive middle infielder who used to be a starter, won't kill you when a guy needs a day off or has a short term injury. BRING UP IGLESIAS ALREADY,STEARNS!!!!!!11
  13. They miss Alvarez a lot, and I think they miss Mauricio as well.
  14. Mendoza got a team with a pretend pitching staff, minus their top starter, and are "in transition" on offense. That they're around .500 is about what we all would have expected.
  15. This has got to be the first Tuesday day game since 1967 or something
  16. It wasn't any fun in person. They really need to reign in the hype over Diaz. It's embarrassing.
  17. =Gwreck post_id=155231 time=1715661653 user_id=56] Is McNeil bad, or is he hurt? Was he ever healthy this year? Is this like Marte last year, where he was put on the DL way too late and never got healthy? Baty is not good. Now, patience is fine, and this is a transition year anyway, but he's not good. Bench and roster construction leaves something to be desired with 3 players who can't hit and a bunch of extra DHes.
  18. With tomorrow being a Day Game, the Tuesday Night Mets Club made the best of a bad situation and will be in attendance this evening for Tuesday Night Mets--Special Monday Night Edition. Section 514, row 2
