  1. No details on the lost night yet but sure sounds like Scott is a goner: https://nypost.com/2021/09/08/sandy-alderson-hasnt-heard-from-zack-scott-since-dwi-arrest/https://nypost.com/2021/09/08/sandy-alderson-hasnt-heard-from-zack-scott-since-dwi-arrest/ Not sure how to interpret Sandy's remarks on Rojas.
  2. Hey look. Another error
  3. Mazeika is the absolute best ive ever seen at hitting weak grounders that never leave the infield
  4. Oh geez what a bummer inning for this kid
  5. Carrasco determined to give this lead right back
  6. Smarmy fuckface encourages foolish sports fans to take pride in the efficiency with which they indebt themselves.
  7. Sitting on a bench and making bad decisions requires the proper degree of alkalinity in your expensive and wasteful single-serve water, soon-to-fired local celebrity says
  8. Alonso might hit the sculpture, were it still there. What a bomb
  9. =batmagadanleadoff post_id=76439 time=1630692664 user_id=68] I went to that game. Not with the CPF crowd as that was years before I joined this furshlugginer forum and regrettably, got addicted. I have many memories of that game -- the strongest being those tiny American flags on a toothpick like piece of small wood about three inches long handed out before the game to entering fans. As soon as I got mine, I wanted to throw it out in the garbage, which I eventually did, but not without careful planning and looking around for the coast to be clear because the rah-rah patriotism crap at that game was higher than I'd ever seen before (or after) and I was certain that if one of those knuckleheads saw me throwing out my flag, some controversy would ensue.
  10. Actor Val Kilmer uses miles of old shelf-shot videotape, and his son, to ruminate on a career as a would-be Serious Actor with a spotty career now ravaged by throat cancer. Hinjinx ensue. Streaming on ammyzon
  11. We saw the Jim Henson exhibition at Momi this weekend. He obviously was an interesting guy I didn't really know anything about, so I learned lots of things, such as that he'd had a long puppeteering career before sesame street. I also came away with the impression that as his work got more complex and elaborate--which he was of course driven toward--it lost much of its charm.
  12. 4 pitch walk to bring up Sodapop
  13. By making that 1 hand tag he took away any ambiguity as to whether it was applied on time and therefore avoided a replay and for that McCann is a hero
  14. Conforto couldn't have played that one worse. Pulled up and let it by him. Williams is fine
  15. Wore no. 40. Of the many guys we have seen this year mop up some innings, he was one of them.
  16. LOL. I think what people were raving about, whether they realized it or not, wasn't the presence of mind but the athletic ability to outrun a guy with a head start and momentum, and then interpreting that as having outsmarted him
