Nicely done, now 3 more outs, and I'm back to Moyers.

Yea, extra frames we go. While I critique a selection of Bill Moyers' works and pay attention to this game at the same time!

Elimination is 15 for the division (Rays), 18 for the wild card (Red Sox).

MFY win, staving off the tragic number in the division from dropping, Sox beat the Orioles though, pushing the WC number forward.

Damn. Some late innings runs would be perfection right about now.

Its a shame GameDay's batters don't match the actual player. Looking at the scrawny batter on the screen, and realizing Fielder is up is pretty funny.

    Settle down there Jon Boy.

FWIW, Philly is currently 5 and a half back of Milwaukee in the Wild Card race. So we are inadvertently helping that cause!

Philly leads 2-0 in the 7th in the only game that matters at the moment.

I'm not sure what the criteria to get the Comeback Player of the Year Award is, but he's deserving. is there an award for each league? because i think Josh Hamilton wrappe dit up a while ago in the AL Yup. Both leagues.

="G-Fafif"] 9/1/90: Mets enter day in second place, half-game behind Pirates; Julio Valera goes 6 IP, 3 ER, 5 H, 5 BB, 3 SO; Mets beat Giants at Shea; Valera starts one more game, gets rocked by Pirates; gets rocked in one additional relief appearance; Mets finish second by 4 games; Valera appears twice in relief in 1991; traded to California for Dick Schofield in 1992; wins 14 games between 1992 and 1996 for Angels and Royals. Thing I remember about that game was that Howie Rose felt a bit saddened since he and Mets Extra were treating his start as if they had "adopted" him in an "Adopt A Prospect Forum" since Valera was the first Met prospect Mets Extra was able to track from his first appearance with the organization, right up to his big league debut.
