Alex Avila will be catching only golf balls (or something like that) in 2022. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2021/09/alex-avila-to-retire-after-2021-season.htmlhttps://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2021/09/alex-avila-to-retire-after-2021-season.html

From Facebook on September 16: We lost one of the good guys today. Bill Sudakis former MLB Dodger. His passion was mentoring young baseball players and managing/coaching baseball. I will miss his smile, positive attitude and great sense of humor. He was also a great dancer! My song to him is ‘The Dance' by Garth Brooks!! There will be a celebration of life at a later date. Thanks to everyone who supported us and helped me during the last 6 years of his Dementia 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️ For those that don't know, Nick & I were introduced to Bill by my good friend Coach Denny Henderson . We had moved to the Desert & Denny thought Bill would be a good coach for Nick. Bill was Nick's hitting coach from the age of 14....thru college & into pro ball, about 17 years. He was always there....he even coached Bow-Kay Esparza . She gave him a run for his $$$. From Sharla Jensen

Nimmo's Friday night return meant Reed's unmourned departure.

Seven-run loss, one-run loss, seven-run loss. So at least they're not all one-run losses.

This series serves an antidote to the series just completed.

May this be the start of many consecutive IGTs started by the same person (which is what I think every IGT).

Ryan Braun, who hasn't played since 2019, says he won't play in 2022 and beyond.

That was an incorrect note Gary was handed. The Mets lost by seven just the night before. But definitely a LOT of recent 1-run losses.

McNeil = Zobrist in my dreams (except in a Mets uniform).

Lindor plus fill-in-the-blank up the middle will feel like a disappointment after Lindor plus Baez, at least in the short term.

Bobby Thomson didn't go to Junior's once a year and smash cheesecakes with the bat he used to beat Ralph Branca. Show a little class Waino.
