  1. and BRIAN BANNISTER ties it up!
  2. ]For those of you First Amendment freaks... The First Amendment stops at the door, Edgy can enforce whatever rules he likes.
  3. I turned on the radio just in time for the homer, whats the score? didnt this game start at 4:00? how is delgado batting again already?
  4. beware, Victor, beware.
  5. Double Play! Sanchez gets it done.
  6. bad managing there, i don't bunt a guy over to give valentin and reyes a shot at driving him in, if you're not gonna use woodward/franco/beltran there dont bother bunting.
  7. Valentin is out despite it bouncing off a glove. Matsui at 3rd 2-men out for the out-machine, jose reyes
  8. nice bunt, but if Jose Valentin is gonna come up i'd rather they just leave Traschel in.
  9. Edgy DC wrote: I have more ups than Bonds showed on that homerun. shush, that ball was crushed and nobody would have caught it, wink wink
  10. LoDuca throws out a runner, in other news they are reporting cold weather in hell.
  11. Zvon wrote: Wow! Chavez with the catch and Alou out tryin to tag. Nice. Chavez looks good out there... but we still need to PH for him close and late, which means we need a 4th healthy OFer on the roster. ="EdgyDC"]Chavez bags himself a 40-year-old baserunner he'll be the same as a 25 year old rabbit in the books.
  12. uhoh, Keith in more trouble? SC=100
  13. Nice job by Traschel to get a hit and "clear the pitcher," or rather clear the guy who is hitting like a pitcher.
  14. one encouraging sign is that his OBP is 40 points higher than his batting average, if THAT keeps up you'd have to think he'll get over .310 since he can probably hit .270
  15. wait, i can give negative numbers?? Zambrano -zillion Matsui -zillion ok, i think the final totals should come out right where i want them now.
  16. if Tom Glavine isn't allowed to make that decision for himself (who he wants to pitch to) then there is something fundamentally wrong with the way the Mets are being run. This isn't some rookie or even a young guy, this is the 2nd or 3rd active wins leader,
  17. I agree that Reyes shouldn't be leading off, but i think talk of AAA is silly. I find it impossible to believe that after 3 years in the majors taking a step backwards will do anything to help him. With everybody healthy you might try: Nady, Beltran, Wright, Delgado, Floyd, LoDuca, Matsui, Reyes. If Matsui shows he can hit i'd lead HIM off (not that i find this at all likely.)
  18. Nady 1 Matsui 1 Reyes .5 LoDuca .5 Feliciano .5 Glavine gets a fat ZERO for allowing 6 runs thanks to gutless intentional walks.
  19. ]After a while they'd be using the DL to give guys a break during the season, to sit guys down for batting slumps, etc., which is not the purpose of a DL. kinda like the NBA?
  20. Centerfield wrote: Every year, at some point, sometimes sooner, sometimes later, the Mets remind me not to get my hopes too high. You're sure thats not just Bret's doing?
  21. For some reason I keep thinking we are in San Diego, probably because we just came from there and i had their game with the D-backs up on GameDay all night.
