  2. that fucking sucks.
  3. if Chipper doesnt like it then I now like it even more.
  4. I was on the Dunn and Ibanez bandwagons. Dunn especially looks great in retrospect as he could be our 1st baseman right now.
  5. ="Benjamin Grimm"]I assure you, they don't wish they lived in New York City. Most of them are way too provincial and probably never even consider setting foot in any of the five boroughs. they secretly wish they were from NY.
  6. Adrian Gonzalez is having an amazing year, and its made all that much more amazing by the cavernous park in which he plays his home games. ]Nationals: 15 - 39 Team wins = 45 i'd LOVE to see the 62' Mets record fall to them, they could break the losses record without breaking the winning percentage if they go 41-121 (The Mets were 40-120). I feel like their hitting is too good for that to happen, and come the end of September they'll be a pathetic, but nowhere near record-breaking, 55 win team.
  7. one-third of the way through the season the team is still alive despite an almost uncountable number of injuries to the starting lineup, the complete suckitude and banishment of a starting pitcher they gave a 3-year deal to, and both of the relievers who came over from Seattle sucking ass. The season hasn't gone either way for me yet, I'm not as excited as I was each of the last two years, but I'm not in that 2003-2004 "i hate this team" mood either, and I think the Mets' record and place in the standings are more than reasonable given all the injuries.
  8. Hijinx ensue as a bachelor party in Vegas goes horribly wrong. Funny at times, boring and predictable at others. This is no Road Trip or Knocked Up but its a decent movie. The plot is thin and where it exists you know exactly whats going to happen, but it has its funny moments.
  9. Keith Hernandez teaching American History to viewers!
  10. Tatis wa SAFEEE at first but called out by the blind umpire crew. oh well, he got the run in.
  11. Murph's fly out gets Wright to 3rd base, 1 out.
  12. yeah BS double for Wright!!
  13. come on Bltran, that was STUPID, you dont try and stretch it into three with 2 outs
  14. ]I think we should import a shortstop from Calcutta theres like a billion people there, the Mets should innovate and be the first to tap that market. give them a free year of SNY with those indian guys in the commercials.

    Muffy

If DeRosa can be had at a reasonable price i think you do that whether you like Murphy or not because he can backup every infield position, thuogh its worth noting that he's played 1B the least of any position
  16. i dont think all these social networking sites should be held responsible to determine the true identities of their users, if the fake-larussa really damaged his reputation then thats who should get sued.
  17. wow, pelfrey took it up the ass today. glad this wasnt a night game where i'd actually be watching

  19. if you'd shown me this Mets lineup on April first I'd have been crying about it, but given whatsbeen thrown out there lately it looks great today.

Bobby never could have gotten that close to Lynda's cheek. Later
  21. bad result, but i wish all our games were under two and a half hours. I'm Jerry Koosman!
  22. what an amazing coincidence that in the vast ocean the Avengers happened to be on a boat nearby! so in other words it will be easy to do, or even just allude to, at the beginning of an Avengers movie.

    Fartinez

I don't think anyone cares about displacing Redding, its more a matter of forcing a choice between Perez and Livan (and the new guy) down the road. Now if "down the road" means September (they think Perez will be out awhile longer) then maybe you do that, but if they expect Perez back any time soon I don't think they can. The Red Sox have like 8 starting pitchers who could legitimately be in a MLB rotation, and they're content to leave Bucholtz dominating AAA despite obviously being ready for the majors, the Mets were not content sending down a less-ready-than-Bucholtz Omir Santos, prefering to trade away their depth rather than resolve the conflict by asking the question "who has options?" as the Sox have in keeping the obviously inferior, but not useless, Brad Penny pitching over Bucholtz. I'm not sure the Mets can make that kind of decision (weakening the current club slightly in order to keep options and depth around down the road), and if not then they can't acquire a veteran (read: no options) starter for Church.
