SCHAEFER METS PLAYERS OF THE MONTH, JULY 2017 JULY 2017 Player of the Month: JACOB deGROM Jacob deGrom for the second consecutive month, gained enough Schaefer points in his final start of the month to take the Player of the Month award. This is deGrom's fourth time as Player of the Month, and second time this season. Pitcher of the Month: JACOB deGROM This is the tenth Pitcher of the Month award for Jacob deGrom, which ties him with R.A. Dickey for the all-time lead. He has won in each of the first four months of 2017.
