  2. I'm not so sure that the Mets have enough depth to consider trading Matz. They're only one or two injuries away from having to turn to Walker Lockett.

  4. By the end of the year he'll be more despised than Mel Rojas.
  5. I have a feeling that Vic isn't taking this entirely seriously.
  6. Two more years (including this one) until free agency, right?
  7. The Mets have received their first vote.
  8. It will be a fine autumn if BOTH of these things happen!
  9. This will be a time-saver for me if any of these guys win Schaefer POTM.
  10. A friend asked me this yesterday and was genuinely surprised at my response. I chose the Trump option.

  21. I have to think that the Houston pitchers knew what was going on. I wonder what they thought? They all must have known that they could one day be pitching to the Astros. And the Houston position players must have known that once one of their pitching teammates became opponents, they would speak up to their new teammates. This may have been a clever scheme, but the repercussions must not have been considered. It's could never have been possible that this wouldn't be discovered eventually.
  22. VANCE WILSON!?!?!?
  23. Well, it's hard to punish the team without punishing the fans in some way.
  24. Wally Backman makes me think of Ron Gardenhire. 18?
