Here's a classic thread from 2005: http://archives.cranepoolforum.net/1400/f2_t1495.shtml I can only imagine what Fman99 would have said about Beth Adams' udders.
  2. Benjamin Grimm
That was years ago. I'll guess you were about 14 then and maybe 18 now? That's quite a difference.
  3. Benjamin Grimm
He was "acquired" but no word of who or what the Mets sent to Boston in return.

Golf and fishing??? What kind of hobby is that for an athlete? Born in Houston in 1986? Something about that city and that year, together, rings a bell...

    ZeErika?
  9. Benjamin Grimm
I think that is his face.
  10. Benjamin Grimm
Oh. Okay, then. But in that game by Pelfrey, only one voter game him anything, and that was a mere quarter point.
  11. Benjamin Grimm
Yeah, but he only went 2.1 innings in that game. When a starting pitcher eats seven innings, he's contributed something, even if he gives up a lot of runs. I don't give points to every player who gets a base hit, or even who scores or drives in a run. I tend to try to give more points to fewer players.

I haven't voted yet, but I plan to give him credit for the 7 innings and the RBI. I'm thinking somewhere around 2 to 2.5 points.

Well, sometimes it's guys like Tom Seaver or Keith Hernandez or Carlos Delgado. But I think David Wright has the stature and maturity that he should now be the guy, and Alex Cora shouldn't have to step forward.
  18. Benjamin Grimm
No, not at all. But that headline is making everyone ANGRY!
  19. Benjamin Grimm
Why you... I'd punch my ceiling right now if I could reach it.

They're both idiots. The Yankees have won plenty of times with their wallets.

Oops, I got my days wrong! I meant Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, not Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.
  22. Benjamin Grimm
In the Daily News this morning, they listed the pitching matchups for the three-game series. I noticed that on Monday, both pitchers will have ERA's in the 2.00's. On Tuesday, they're both in the 4.00's and on Wednesday they're both in the 6.00's.
  23. Benjamin Grimm
And he might be before the summer is over.
