bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 If you're looking forward to Spring Training in 2018, the Tigers are the first team to release their home schedule.http://www.springtrainingconnection.com/lakeland.html#scheduleWe see that the games start as early as they did last year but this year is likely because of the earlier Opening Day (last year was because of the WBC).
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2017 Author Posted October 11, 2017 The spring schedule continues to grow, albeit without any announcements from the Mets.https://www.springtrainingonline.com/features/master-schedule.htm
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2017 Posted October 11, 2017 I wonder if a season like 2017 has an effect on Spring Training attendance the next year.Or if it's more tied to the moves made in the winter.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted October 11, 2017 Posted October 11, 2017 I don't think 2017 does so much. It was injuries more than sucking, so the 'hype' of 2018 should still be there. Thor. Conforto. etc. If you're not "bleh, I don't even know if I'm gonna watch in 2018" maybe you skip, but hope Springs eternal right? so if you're excited for the season and Spring Training's your thing, i imagine you still go.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2017 Posted October 11, 2017 I think that people who go every year will still go. But those who make the trip based on their enthusiasm may very well decide to skip the trip to Florida next spring. So yeah, I think that 2017 will have at least some effect on spring training attendance, but I don't know if it will be substantial.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted November 4, 2017 Author Posted November 4, 2017 The Mets haven't announced their Spring Training schedule but many of the Grapefruit League teams have so you can see most of the schedule here:https://www.springtrainingonline.com/features/master-schedule.htm

It's about a month now.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted November 20, 2017 Author Posted November 20, 2017 3 night games (I don't think that there were any last year). 2 days where you can see the Mets twice. I'm sure that a game or two will be added before the season starts.
