Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 16, 2017 Author Posted September 16, 2017 Indeed.Bullpens are in fair territory in the wall-less MLB stadium of my imagination also.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 That's a great photo.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 22, 2017 Author Posted September 22, 2017 I suspect that he's got body more hair going on his right tricep than I have on my whole body, but I'm not sure how to measure that sort of thing.Look at that gun. It's almost hypnotic.

G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 It's the tucking in of the jersey that gets me, though because Joe did tuck, we get a gander at that hellacious buckle.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 I don't really recall Joe as beef cake material back then, guess I needed internet.

Also, how quickly the Mets moved to take the Jets logo off of the big scoreboard, although on second thought, the Jets weren't playing no January football in 1975, either.

That's what happens when you kiss Joe Torre!

Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 Must be the angle or something but that's a big-ass bat. Willie is about six feet tall and the bat just looks huge in that pic.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 20, 2017 Author Posted October 20, 2017 Mostly forgotten early Mets mascot Homer the Beagle. Edgy MD Site Manager Posted November 29, 2017 Author Posted November 29, 2017 Now I'm thinking the blocking back isn't McGraw at all. In 1973, he would have been heading to the dugout.Hodges?

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted November 29, 2017 Author Posted November 29, 2017 Giving him a purple nurple, from the looks of it.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted November 29, 2017 Author Posted November 29, 2017 Looking again, the Met playing bodyguard seems to have a catcher's mitt. Add that to the sideburns and a deployment by the bullpen, and Hodges looks likely.Hodges may have been an ornery cuss, but a rookie going to the mat for a 21-year vet counts for something.
dgwphotography Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2017 Posted November 29, 2017 It blends into the arm of the trespasser, but it looks like the bodyguard has a mustache. When did Hodges have his mustache?
