Mets have withdrawn their innovative idea to bring back post-injury former codpiece Matt Harvey on three days' rest, claiming the murky weather forecast pushed their hand to not test his arm. Terry said, "I haven't the faintest idea," when asked postgame who'd start Wednesday. Mind you, he really said that.

Nick Pivetta goes for the Phils. Or it will rain.

So... the weather forecast makes them think the gods are displeased? Hell, toss Dickbag out there. Have him rake or something if there's a delay. He's not re-signing; we're not trading him. Let him earn his arbitrated keep.

I like the inclusion of the word "codpiece".
I think it should be somehow in every thread

There's been a very obvious push from the Mets to be less forthcoming with information regarding their plans and injury, and it's fun how the media just doesn't even't bother to dig or push, just reports it the same way.

Tommy Milone (1-3, 7.66), original drummer of the punk band Milones, is rumored
to be tonight's starter according to multiple sources not worthy of citing.

Among upper management, Milone's name is frequently followed by, "Well, THAT'S a roster spot that's going to open up for us in the offseason."

Oh dear lord. Travis at cleanup?

He's been there twice already this week.
Besides, he's currently 2nd among active players on the team in HRs (and on a per/AB basis he's 1st) so if it's not going to be him then whoever else you choose isn't likely to be much better.

Kim cracks me up. He looks like a mob collector more than an athlete. He looks like the boxer the champ uses as a punching bag. Doesn't have a chance but he has good odds to stay on his feet for at least five rounds.

Dom Smith looks a bit.......I'll use the word "thicker", than I expected. Nice double.

Smith scores on a Gsellman single!

4-0 Mets (watch, now it starts to pour and this game gets washed away--that's been our luck this season)

I'm behind, nice to get out of the first unscathed.

Reyes just shut down that "run" to 1st awfully early for a semi-tough backhand play by the 2Bman.
Someone needs to remind him that he doesn't have a job for next year as things stand and that maybe he needs to play like he's fighting for one.

Howie tells me I was a little premature with the official game business. Now it's official.

Yes, losing team has to bat at least five times.

I'm sure Randazzo called that early on the radio. I was just passing it on. Howie didn't correct him or anything. He just let it go by and brought it up again in the next half.

Good outing for Gsellman so far. More please.....

6-0 Mets
