Guest cooby Guests Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 1) It might actually go above 65 degrees tomorrow2) It might actually be sunny3) And I might actually be able to swim one last time. It's been a shitty summer. Who cares bowl indeed?Have they called up anybody who needs a cup of coffee yet?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 They called up recent acquirees Jamie Callahan and Jacob Rhame in time for both of them to debut in game one of Saturday's double header. Supposedly Terry recently reported his shock that neither had ever (ever!) pitched on consecutive days in the minors, despite both being on the relief track for several years, and each coming out of different organizations.Expect a McGowan return soon enough. Las Vegas' season ends tomorrow, and they should have two open roster slots, should they want to add any non-roster players.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Not that yesterday was entirely his fault but Flexy probably isn't ready to beat major league teams. I think its Mickey Jannis time

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 33 combined HRs this season for that starting lineup, from a team that STILL leads the NL in HRs* and could have easily had four guys in their everyday lineup with 30+ each* are actually one behind the Cubs now

Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Reyes goes first to third on a groundout, proving that baseball is still fun even when it doesn't matter.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Tough play for Aoki, being from the other side of the world he's used to seeing the sun from a completely different angle.
Guest 41Forever Guests Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 I don't know what Montero is doing differently -- but don't stop!!!
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 An effective Montero in 2018 would go a long way towards solving the Mets' problems.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Maybe stiffening up during that long inning.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 But gets the big DP grounder and avoids the big inning!

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Not just 12 different cleanup hitters this year (as was being discussed by Gary & Ron) but they've had one (or more) from each of the positions (including DH) except for SS & P
