Stepped away from the broadcast after the Bruce HR due to protracted, daddy-daughter-tension-fraught, pre-bedtime duties. After several minutes of anxiety-riddled toothbrushing, one or two fumbling apologetic hugs, and a couple of chapters of Thurber's The 13 Clocks later, I realized things had gotten more interesting in Queens. After consulting with my bedtime partner, I flipped on Howie and Josh at lights out, and we listened in the dark while lying side-by-side, holding hands in the dark, and squeezing during Duda and Wilmer. Wherever we go from here-- season- and parenting-wise-- it was a pretty good night, ending in a much nicer sort of daddy-daughter tension.
