G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Seth Lugo makes his first start of 2017. The Mets make Jaime Garcia sorry he came to the ballpark. 1:35 PM on WPIX.Don't peer into the dugout for T.J. Rivera, Tyler Pill or Matt Reynolds. All have been optioned in the name of healthy bodies.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Hopefully he got his rest as he and the boys were playing all night on Saturday.

Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 That was my first thought, too. But there really isn't any other position player to move, unless you feel ready to DFA Reyes. I'm not sure I'm there yet. The head scratcher to me was optioning Pill rather than Neil "The Human Torch" Ramirez.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 The lefty knocks both a hot Granderson and a slumping Duda out of the lineup.Remember, after the recent transactions, the Mets are down to five infielders, and the two regular middle infielders are balky.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 I'm OK with the bunt here, but not after the corners come in.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 2nd and 3rd, nobody out. Three outs, nobody in.I'm sure that won't haunt us in this one-run game.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 We weren't very rispy in the next inning either.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Not only do the right field seats seem to have some weird stainless steal fronts, but one of the aisles seems to be blocked off by a pair of Beverly Hillbillies planks nailed in place.

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Nicely turned. Nice stretch from Wilma, too.Is it me, or is Senor Flowers' D (at first, anyway) improving of late along with the bat?
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Quick Lugosian work in the sixth. More to come in the seventh?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Reyes should be running with Garcia throwing all those curves to the bunting pitcher.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 On base twice in three PAs and a steal... a pretty happy birthday for JoseJoseJose thus far.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 I mean, still a terrible play by Camargo. But yeah.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 This guy may be a tenor, but that's a baritone delivery.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 So a 6 man rotation is dumb, but if you were to take somebody out of the rotation right now, it'd either be deGrom or Harvey.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Someone obviously failed to tell these new guys -- Matz & Lugo -- that 90 pitches is the proper amount for four innings, not seven.I'm willing to let them slide for now but pitch count efficiency is not something we're going to continue to tolerate around here.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Great to see Blevvy retiring Kemp.My faith wasn't strong.
