I feel like we were winning all night even though we never led. That said would have been a very bad one to lose.

If Walkie's first-inning double hadn't skipped off the top of the wall and out of play, they would have been winning most of the night*.

*Insert all-other-things-being-equal caveat.

Are there ballplayers who even know you exist now?

I can understand with your astonishing good looks that you aspired to be a baseball groupie, however it was never among my personal ambitions.

Don't you have a cricket lesson to give?

If you seriously believe I'm going to go out of my way to do this after the reception I got upon returning (mostly from you) and the fact I've been defamed off-board, you are delusional.

I don't know what gave you that impression but to be clear I was happy to see you back.

You know what was really lovely? Familia's 9th inning - quick, efficient and without drama.

Hopefully it's a sign that Jeurys has got his groove back!

Last two Familia outings -- Friday with a one-run lead, Monday in a tie game: a total of 2 innings, 6 up/6 down on just 12 pitches (7 on Friday, 5 yesterday). 12 pitches is more typically about what he throws to 2 batters.
Perhaps not coincidentally he's had zero strikeouts in that time, relying instead on 3 Ground-Outs, 2 IF pops, and one Fly-out

You're all mixed up like pasta primavera
Yo why'd you throw that chair at Geraldo Rivera, man?

The Mets every day invoke more "What Comes Around" lyrics.

Dude, I don't know what put the knot in your boxers but geez if there's
something I (we) can do please PM me or one of us (or post in the 'Red
Light' or 'BttA') and let's get it straightened out.

We found that one in the archives. It was used for Schaefer voting way back in 19th Century France! (However, I think might be Judy Garland kissing combover guy on the nose.)
