This pitcher is the Jason Motte who was briefly a closer for the Cardinals with his big bushy beard.
He then ran into all kinds of injury problems and I totally lost track of him. I only recognized him from his motion.

Braves ballpark organist paying tribute to R'n'RHoFers ELO with a few bars of "Don't Bring Me Down" for Jay BRUCE!

I really hope we don't regret not cashing in some insurance runs there.
Familia is not exactly filling me with CAHNfidence lately.

They were playing 'Greensleeves' a couple innings ago -- I think it was during a Reyes AB -- but I couldn't figure out any connection.

Ron, concerned the other night that pulling Familia with a save on the line would hurt his CAHNfidence, is now arguing that it was the kick in the pants he needed.

Ah yes ... I think of it more as yellow, but that's gotta be the reason.
I'll give them points for effort anyway.

Mets fundefeated in all of Cobb County, and stand victorious in the bitter battle for fourth place.

Also gain a half game on the idle Nats.

Winning three of four, all in division, while beating All-Star pitchers in all three of those wins is pretty sweet.

Sure, that fourth game was something of blimp crash, but you can't have everything.

Be sure to include some juice for Jerry Blevins in your Schaefering today, he was the game's unsung hero, though I'm sure Conforto wore the crown.

I was wrong, Belvins did get the crown. Vote Blevins!
