The numbers on the Phillies' sleeves look stupid.

THAT'S what you're seeing here??

Was trying to see something that wasn't our fault.

Montero's ERA now 9.45.

We got a total of 4 hits! Vs. the Phils! That's Phathetic.

Absolutely frigid in the Prom, bailed on our seats for the club in the 5th, watched as well as we could till my brother took off after 9 then I wondered around the 400 level watching Montero do his thing.

Felt we were in trouble when Walker retired himself on 1 pitch with 1 out in the 1st after their guy had already thrown 30 pitches. Doodoo and at least 1 other guy also first-pitched themselves out and allowed Eflin to work until the 5th when a better offensive club would have knocked him out of the box in 2/3rds.

Couple walks, a single and a wild pitch isn't enough offense to get by.

In positive news Zach Wheeler warms up to When the Levee Breaks."

A game as cold as it was dismal and dismal as it was cold.

Saw JCL from a distance pregame. Thought about shouting. Didn't as it felt too far for flagging down.

Took tenth-inning refuge in the Promenade Club, which was deserted by the final out. SNY was a tick behind the live action, so it was eerie watching Montero give up run after run behind soundproof glass and then hearing Gary Cohen report it as if it were new.

Our section featured a guy in a cape with a stuffed lion, the latter to pay homage to Cespedes, the former, well, who asks a guy why he's wearing a cape if a phone booth isn't nearby?

What did Jose Reyes do?

Followed this shitshow on my phone as we watched the Cards beat the Pirates 2-1. Bucs had 11 hits and one run, so we're not the only ones with offensive problems.

Have to assume Montero gets the DFA when Fammy returns. He's been given chance after chance after chance. Time to cut bait. If he succeeds somewhere else, so be it. But he's blown every opportunity the Mets have given him. Buh-bye.

May it be so.

I'd bounce him today if there's a guy we could get up here in time for tonight.

Apart from his error laying the groundwork for the loss, he generally played with a his head not in the game.

Last night, he had a lot of company in that latter regard.

Maybe Jose has his mind on problems at home or such.

I cant help but to think an active Familia may have helped the Mets avoid some of this recent mess.
