It's that stupid new rule. If not for that he would have been standing over home plate and it would have been an easy out. Instead he has to dive into the runner and towards the line. Last few times he did that it worked. Not this time.

Yeah, fine, but he also faced five batters tonight and every one of them hit a rocket even though most if not all were behind in the count.
And even that would be excusable if this game was an outlier for him this year but it's far too close to the norm for him so far.
