Reyes one-hops one off the wall in right center and stops at second?

That seemed like a double all the way to me. The ball bounced back to the outfielder pretty quickly.

Although the Phillies' announcer did predict it would be a triple.

Phillies booth also speculating whether Jose will be a Hall-of-Famer.

They also said "Jose never gets hurt" or something like that. Wha?!!

Damn, Cespedes loves that curve ball.

I think it would be awesome if Hernandez, Cohen, and Darling did this. Tailors should be climbing over each other to dress them.

Thanks to today's wider screen TV sets they'd be able to get all the lapels in the same shot.

Sure, but I've never known Reyes to stop on ball hit there. I'm not saying he shouldn't have.

I thought triple too, but he was pulling up before the ball was even thrown in. It wasn't a "for sure" triple in any case, but we have to accept that Reyes has lost a few steps. One of my brothers wants him gone. I say you don't give up on Reyes this soon.

Tell them they can stop.

I'm not impressed either, but he's on the verge of 2,000 hits. Lightning could strike, he gets entrenched at a nu position, and suddenly he has five more healthy years in him.

I'd give that about a 6% chance, though. It's as likely that he gets released and hangs them up within a month, I guess.

If Jose gets released by the Mets he'll be searching hard for another gig rather than just meekly hanging it up. He has children to support, including some with his wife.

Reyes is lost up there but I can't give up on him. I might bench him before the break if he don't come around, but I wouldn't release him. After the break, all bets are off.

Ugh, Ramos strikes out the side. I'm afraid one run won't be enough.

Familia is back tomorrow. right?

Do the Mets starters have to leave early?

I had read give TC as many relievers for Christmas as you can and he will use them all.

I have no clue on Reyes but the trend is what it is.

By "the break" do you mean the All-Star break?

You'd continue to let him play every day, with a .085 batting average, for about 90 games????

Familia returns on Thursday.

Is there any other "break" in this game? ;)

At a certain point in between I would have to do something if he remained in the toilet. Have him coming off the bench might wake him up. I'd just hate to make it to the post and not have Wright & Reyes on the squad if it's possible. It's a sentimental thing, I know. But I feel strongly about it.

Up until the ASG. And then, it depends how the team is doing as well as how Reyes is doing. But if he continues on as he is.....he could very well be outta here. I'd be bummed.

OMG,lolol.....Reyes drops an easy pop up! CUT HIM! I kid.
But jeeze...

I knew he was gonna drop it too. As I was typing that shit the ball was coming down and I said to myself...watch him drop it.

I was still pretty surprised that he did.
