Not my neighbor, but lived in the area (I'm not sure if he still does) and made appearances at some of our local Little League events.

HOW THE HELL DID HE GET GREG BURKE EVEN GREG BURKE DOESN'T REMEMBER BEING A MET

AKER 1. 1974: IIRC, Was TMF's neighbor or something like that.
ALVARADO 2. 1977: Backup infielder for a few years with the White Sox before coming to NY.
BALDWIN 3. 2004: Only eleven of the 492 players to pitch for the Mets have a higher ERA, but none of them pitched as many innings (six).
BEATTY 4. 1989-1991: Top pitching prospect acquired for Doug Sisk; his 15.2 innings as a Met are the entirety of his MLB career.
BELTRAN 5. 1998-99: LHRP traded to Colorado at the deadline in the Darryl Hamilton deal.
BOTTALICO 6. 2004: Former closer who pitched in 60 games and yet I remember exactly zero of them.
BUCHHOLZ 7. 2011: As a top prospect, was traded from Philly to Houston for Billy Wagner; ended his career throwing 26 bullpen innings as a Met.
BURKE 8. 2013: 0-3, 5.68 in 32 games and has zero memories on the UMDB. Good luck.
CERDA 9. 2002-03: Young LOOGY who was traded to KC for Shawn Sedlacek.
CONNORS 10. 1967-68: Better known as a long-time pitching coach, particularly for the MFYs.
DePASTINO 11. 2003: Spent 11 years as an "organizational backstop" in four organizations before getting a cuppa in September.
12. 1965-66: Got to share a rookie card with Rob Gardner, at least?
ESTRADA 13. 1971: Wait, didn't we have him on this list the other day? So many similarly-named obscure Mets. A footnote to Mets history.
FORDYCE 14. 1995: 3rd round pick who got into four games as a Met, then had a productive MLB career, getting nearly 2000 PAs with the Reds, White Sox, Orioles, and Rays.
GERMEN 15. 2013-14: Part of a MFY-Mets deal.
GUETTERMAN 16. 1992: Part of a MFY-Mets deal.
GUTHRIE 17. 2002: LOOGY who was a very productive bullpen piece for 15 seasons from 1989-2003, mostly with the Twins.
18. 1973: PH/PR in his only MLB season.
JONES 19. 2000-02: Honestly, it was pretty easy to tell them apart.
MR. KOO 20. 2005: Key figure in perhaps the greatest Mets regular-season play of all time.
LOOPER. 21. 2004-05: Loathed.
MANUEL 22. 1997: Was pretty useless out of the bullpen, then went to Arizona and in his one appearance back at Shea, gave up three runs in a third of an inning.
MCGUIRE 23. 2000: "No, not THAT first baseman. This one's got a U, not a W, and he mostly strikes out."
MEDICH 24. 1977: Pitched only one game as a Met, but won 35 games as a Shea Stadium resident in 1974-75.
MORENO 25. 2003-04: Made his debut in 1999 in KC, but injured his arm in an off-field accident and aggravated it by pitching. Never really harnessed the magic again.
MUSGRAVES 26. 1965: One earned run in 16 innings at age 21... and no other MLB experience.
NUNEZ 27. 2008: Infielder who played 1028 games in Pittsburgh and Philly before ending his career pinch-hitting twice in June.
PADILLA 28. 2005: 3-1, 1.49 in 36.1 innings in the pen. Supposedly dated my colleague's friend.
RIGGAN 29. 2001: Pitcher who was traded for Roberto Alomar but never amounted to much after he left NY.
30. 2003: Seven runs in three innings in his MLB debut, five runs in six innings three weeks later, and that was it for his MLB career.
SCHULZE 31. 1987: Part of the deal that sent Rick Sutcliffe to the Cubs, so he's basically responsible for us not being World Champs in 1984.
SHORT 32. 1968: A LOOGY before being a LOOGY was a thing.
SIEBERT 33. 1977-78: For some reason, we traded Dave Kingman for him.
SMITH 34. 2007-08: A valued bullpen piece who was traded for two other bullpen pieces. We should have held onto him.
STERLING 35. 1974: 1st round pick (fourth overall) in 1969 who only lasted two weeks in the MLB in September. Got Gary Carter to ground out in Carter's first MLB AB.
TAKAHASHI 36. 2009: Made his MLB debut at age 40; pitched 27.1 innings with a 2.96 ERA.
TAPANI 37. 1989: Finished fifth in the ROY voting with Minnesota in 19990.
VARGAS 38. 2007: 0-1, 12.19 in 10.1 innings, which was worse than the unrelated guy who pitched for the Mets in 2008.
39. 2002: 2nd round pick who, like seemingly so many players in this thread, was way more successful - primarily in San Francisco - after leaving the Mets.
WILLHITE 40. 1967: 0-1, 8.64 ERA after being a hot Dodger prospect.

It's been a long day's night....

Jeez, it's getting late.

TWO ABs:
12. 1965-66: Got to share a rookie card with Rob Gardner, at least?
30. 2003: Seven runs in three innings in his MLB debut, five runs in six innings three weeks later, and that was it for his MLB career.

ONE AB:

1. 2003: Came over from the White Sox in the Alomar deal; had an 11.12 ERA as a Met.
2. 2001: Catcher who was a Met for a month in July/August in between stops in Colorado and Philly.
3. 2015-16: LOOGY who appeared in 80 games.
4. 2000: Triple!
5. 2014-15: Reliever -- best known as a Brave, probably? -- DFAed twice in 2014 but kept coming back.
6. 2015: Deadline acquisition for the bullpen.
7. 2001-02: RHP caught up in the Grant Roberts weed "scandal."
8. 1992: RHP who also pitched for the Pirates and Giants.
9. 2012-2016: LOOGY.
10. 1995: Not a mob boss as far as I know.
11. 1962: RHP who only got into five games in 1962; traded the following season to Milwaukee but never made it back to the bigs.
12. 1984-85: RHP who got us Bobby O.
13. 2014-16: Wore #62.
14. 2009-10: Submariner who was the best (?) part of the Putz deal.
15. 1996: Catcher who only made it into 55 games across five seasons with the Mets, O's, Brewers, and Jays.
16. 1967: LHP with too many consonants in his name who played part of 8 MLB seasons.
17. 2012: Only gave up two runs in ten innings out of the pen as a Met.
18. 1962: Way shorter than the unrelated later Met.
19. 2001: One game, two innings pitched, eight earned runs.
20. 1964-67: Shared rookie cards with both Bill Wakefield and Gary Kroll.
21. 2006-07: Pitched one magical game in April 2012.
22. 1997: LHRP acquired in the Brogna/Borland deal.
23. 2006: Closed in Baltimore, than had a 5.06 ERA as a Met.
24. 1997: LHP who only spent one season in the States.
25. 2002: RHP who only spent one season in the States.
26. 1990: Catcher whose one MLB AB was a single in June. Scored on a wild pitch.
27. 1992: Would run through a wall to make a play.
28. 1962: G.
29. 1998: Acquired from Florida for Rob Stratton, AJ Burnett, and Jesus Sanchez.
30. 1987: Slugged his way through the minor leagues, but didn't break through until two teams later, in Baltimore.
31. 1997: Mets Director of Minor League Operations.
32. 2006-07: Punk best known for being a d-bag in a spring training game. ROIDS.
33. 1989-90: We traded WHO for this guy?!?!
34. 2007: One game, four innings, seven earned runs.
35. 1997: Came to Shea after three "meh" seasons in the Florida pen, then moved on to Philly.
36. 2012: Wore #62.
37. 2002: Submariner.
38. 2009-11: Better (worse?) remembered for his off-field antics, but pitcherd in 165 games.
39. 2000: 7.78 ERA in 37 innings. THIRTY SEVEN INNINGS WE LET THIS FUCKIN' GUY PITCH.
40. 2001: Came up as a hot Sox pitching prospect. Wound up with a 5.86 MLB ERA in 68 games.
41. 2006-08: Next time, just take the 7-train.
42. 2007-08: Cancer survivor who put together a 12-year MLB career.
43. 1981: Traded by the Mets to Cleveland for Tom Veryzer, and then was a productive middle reliever until 1990.
44. 2016: LOOGY.
45. 2002-03: RHP who was out of baseball by 24.
46. 2002-03: Excellent bullpenner who never really made it back from TJS in 2003.
47. 1964: Went 16-6 for the MFYs in 1957.
48. 1998-99: spent three solid years in the Oakland pen from 2000-02.
49. 2015: DEAR GOD WHAT IS THAT THING ON HIS HEAD
50. 1995-2002: Two different stints; traded to San Diego for Roberto Petagine.
51. 1987-88: The OTHER guy with the sweet moustache who came from San Diego.
52. 1967: Traded to the White Sox in the Agee/Weis deal.
