Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 29, 2017 Author Posted August 29, 2017 We should name them after meaner women.Meanwhile, that's going to be it for Wright, isn't it?

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 He's definitely shut it down for 2017. I think he plans to see what the doctor says before he makes any decisions for 2018.David's pattern has been to rest and rehab for months, and then play for a few days, and then rest and rehab for months. I would fully understand if he didn't want to get on that merry-go-round again.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Hard to judge seeing as how I don't think we've ever gotten a clear explanation of what it is that's wrong with his shoulder. Is it related to the back/neck stuff? Totally separate? A problem that can be fixed by something other than rest and rehab? Is that his only remaining obstacle?

Guest themetfairy Guests Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Just out of curiosity, would the rules allow Noah Syndergaard to pitch a rehab game this week with Binghamton during their playoff series?
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 I think so, yes. Unless things have changed. But I remember instances in the past where rehabbing big leaguers have played in minor league playoff games. It doesn't seem fair, but it appears to be allowed.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Cool - unfair or not, it would be fun to see him in action down here.
Guest cooby Guests Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 We could think of it as divine intervention for Binghamton. Unless he sucks :/
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Did someone break a thumb typing?
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Rosario right index finger bruised, either Saturday night or for a while, depending on whether you believe Rosario, Collins or the whispering wind.
dgwphotography Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 David Wright will have surgery on his right rotator cuff, and T.J. Rivera will undergo Tommy John surgery.

ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 David is becoming an example of "you have to scrape the uniforms off of them" to retire.Geez, he's missed two full seasons.I'm more concerned about Conforto's surgery. Johan Santana had that surgery, albeit anterior. There is nothing routine about Micheal's recovery.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 4, 2017 Author Posted September 4, 2017 Infielders getting pitching surgery. Curious!Josh Edgin also ending his season with arthroscopic surgery on his knee. He's off the roster and will be a minor league free agent at the end of the season, so that could well be the end of the Metly road for him.His demotion was surprising. He was Edgin, sure, but he's currently eleventh on the 2017 Mets in bWAR.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2017 Posted September 7, 2017 Flores out for the year from his Marcia Brady injury.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2017 Posted September 7, 2017 The month of September is offering opportunities for the few remaining players to get what could be a rare chance at Schaefer glory.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 15, 2017 Author Posted September 15, 2017 Goeddel getting treated for dizziness and blurred vision.Syndergaard expected to throw a pen in the next few days and then maybe a game next week.Xorge Carillo, to judge by social media, seems to be honeymooning in Greece. Not cool when your team needs a catcher, man.
