Guest Mets Guy in Michigan Guests Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Awesome cards, as always. Gsellman looks like a cross between David Wright and Jacob deGrom in that photo!
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Good job, Curtis! If you walked up to me on the street I would have guessed Asdrubalhad the best September. Gsell got that wake-and-bake look thing goin'.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Terrific. The Cecchini card and the Reed card look most authentic to me. I like the idea of doing the older cards with older backgrounds but Gsellman is so out of place as a 1971 ballplayer it's weird. In contrast to Grandy, much more comfortable as an old-schooler. I'd say he's an old soul generally and probably would have been considered one of the elite players of the 1970s in fact.Congrats to the winners and my apologies for not being a bigger influence in the voting as the season wound down. I also tend to stop looking at results of the fantasy teams around then too. A highstress new role at work contributed some as well.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Terrific work.I can picture Addison Reed immediately wiping his nose after that shot is taken.
Guest Mets Guy in Michigan Guests Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 I didn't even notice that Gsellman was at Shea! Great work!
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2016 Author Posted October 11, 2016 And Curtis is at Al Lang Stadium.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Love the cards-the Gsellman at Shea is most awesome.I apologize for falling off with my voting near the end,
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Gsellman is the Pitcher of the Month in his first full month in the majors - Amazin'!And excellent work BG, as always.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2016 Author Posted October 11, 2016 Thank you!Player of the Year will be announced on Thursday and then, a few weeks from now, we'll have the Tabloid Cover Derby to get us through the winter.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Gsellman sure has nice legible handwriting. Certainly more readable than Cecchini's autograph.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 Cecchini appears to have gotten his own color scheme. Was there a 1975 card that looked like that?Great work to reflect a great month!
