Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Interesting. I was wondering how they would do it. They're aiming the Chicago game (with New York as the possible opponent) at prime time, while the other major market, Los Angeles, will get a 2:30 p.m. start on Friday. At least I know I won't have to take a day off on Friday.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2016 Author Posted October 3, 2016 Chicago + New York or Chicago + San Francisco = biggest combined markets for potential viewers.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2016 Author Posted October 3, 2016 The Mets haven't had a daytime start for a playoff game since Game 1 of the Division Series in 2006; and that was only because the Yankees had a home playoff game at the same time. I think they had a couple of weekend day games in 2000 in the Division Series.

If they only played one day game, however, the other day off may have been so I could catch up on my sleep!
