Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 1, 2016 Author Posted October 1, 2016 Check out Bruce — staying within himself and getting the base hit instead of going down flailing for the homer. This is the 2016 version Bruce they meant to trade for.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 And now Teej comes through again.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 Doesn't this team ever hit a homerun?
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 Bruce finding his stroke, TJ Rivera hitting, good things are happening ...keep it going
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 Multiple two outs hits w/RiSP ... as the recurring line by Butch & Sundance asked: Who are those guys?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 1, 2016 Author Posted October 1, 2016 Four straight two-outers.[fimg=450]http://cdn.fansided.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/3/files/2016/09/9474284-jay-bruce-mlb-new-york-mets-arizona-diamondbacks.jpg[/fimg]I like three things: trucks, mud, and trucks in the mud
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 I'll take 4 straight two-out hits for $200, Alec.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 That inning also took Asher from about two innings worth of pitches over three innings to nearly five innings worth of pitches through four. And that means we're just thatmuch closer to getting into the Philly pen.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 Ha, love the Seamlees food delivery commercial
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 Tomorrow's game is on FOX which means Matt ("XFL") Vasgarsien and not Gary but for those of us who are "out of town", get a load of this crap:We have an exciting opportunity this weekend with MLB on FOX. With our schedule including two extremely compelling games we don’t want our fans to miss any of the thrilling action. So for the first time ever, instead of airing just one MLB game you’ll be getting the best of BOTH!This Saturday in non-home territory markets only FOX Sports will shift between both baseball games so that viewers can see key moments of each important contest. This concept, which we’ve dubbed “Whip Around,” will have the non-home territory markets start on the NYM @ PHL game and then shift to PIT @ STL at a pivotal moment. At some point, those same markets will go back to the NYM @ PHL game for a key situation. The shifting between the two games could occur multiple times. Please follow the previously provided formats, all local commercial breaks will air in their normal slots.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 That's absolutely horrible.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 It's official...I'll be listening to Howie on Saturday.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 1, 2016 Author Posted October 1, 2016 Not to mention, "Whip Around" sounds like a sexual maneuver that's too filthy to describe. Everybody pretends they know what it is, but only A Boy Named Seo is truly privy to the secret knowledge.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 1, 2016 Author Posted October 1, 2016 I'm just realizing that, if the Mets clinch tonight, they can't really go nuts celebrating and start the B-team tomorrow, because they kind of have to keep their foot on the gas to pursue home field advantage.I mean, I realize it's over-rated, but who the hell wants to go to San Francisco?
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 They'd have to wear flowers in their hair.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 Cabrera is sooooo smooth.2-1 Mets
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 So I was curious to see what was on FOX HD, one of a number of FOX channelsI get, at 4:00 and it's Kung Fu Panda 2. So it's understandable that they can'tput another game on instead of that. I assume college football is on some of the others and everyone knows college football is more important than baseball.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 1, 2016 Author Posted October 1, 2016 Strong start by Gsellman, but I'm not sure I'd be saying that if the wind and Curtis Granderson's glover weren't on his side.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 Wind was friendly (or un) both ways so far.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 Jay Bruce ladies and gentlemen, Jay Bruce!
