Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Well, he got out of it.But, once again, an 11-pitch no-muss/no-fuss inning from Reed is followed by a tense 25 pitch slog by Familia.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Mauer fouled off pitches 6 times with Dozier running. Dozier was probably as relieved as I was when Mauer finally struck out.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Nice work to get the stubborn Mauer. Let's walk this off, shall we?
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 You can't take these guys into extras at home and not beat em. Close this deal, somebody!

Familia generally gets the job done, but it often has some anxiety and drama along the way.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Well, at least we got our offense to the plate.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 He fouled off numerous bad pitches and takes one down the middle.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Guy pitched Reyes tough. Kept it far enough away from him that he couldn't keep it fair, then busted him inside.Bad luck earlier on that Plawecki smash - both that the pitcher got a piece of it and then the way it bounced. Thought that one was going to end it.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 If you're out-of-town, the game is now on MLBN.
