Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Gsellman vs Tanner Roark. Remember that it's a 4:05 start, last weekday day game of the year.Same matchup as eleven days ago. Mets won that one 3-1 with Gsellman giving up just 1 run over 6, Roark 2 runs over 5.Chance for the second straight series win vs these dudes even if none of it involved Strasburg or Scherzer (not that I saw them facing Harvey or deGrom either).t'would be nice if we could make Muffy go hitless for [u:22lyywhe]ONE[/u:22lyywhe] game this season, something we haven't been able to do for the first 18.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Author Posted September 14, 2016 Also lots of daytime scoreboard watching this afternoon.Cubs - Cards gets going at 1:45 EDTPadres vs Giants at 3:45Dodgers @ Yanx at 4:05
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 What's amazing is that depending on how things go, at the end of the day they could be the first wild card, second wild card, or on the outside looking in.Meaningful Gseptember baseball.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Another crack at 10 over! Win and I'm ALL IN.

Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Rene getting the day game after the night game. Interesting.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Author Posted September 14, 2016 ^ Must be nice to write the same lineup in day after day after day. We're Met fans, we don't know what that's like.^^^Rene getting the day game after the night game. Interesting.Meanwhile, Kevin Plawecki was recalled nearly two weeks ago but you'd never know it because he's yet to have even as much as a pinch-hit appearance much less a start. Not that I'm suggesting he should be getting a start anytime soon, but it's quite a reversal from early in the season when he was starter 1A and Rivera was Rene Who?
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 We can't really complain, Gnats were pretty banged up last year.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Bruce, bases jammed with one out. K's looking. Thanks.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 They leave the bases loaded. The funny thing is if like just 3-4 ofthese situations over the course of the season went well the Metswould be sitting pretty wild card wise...
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Boy, I wonder what's taking Jay Bruce so long to arrive from Cincinnati. Plane trouble? Maternity leave? Bad maps from AAA? Stuck in the back of one of those Uber self-driving cars in Pittsburgh, doing endless circles in the PNC parking lot?Hope he gets here soon. 'Cuz it's more like Lenny Bruce these days.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Got a hit that inning, though.T.J., meanwhile, must've been listening to Roxy Music last night, because he's doing the Strand.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Moiph hurtin' us with the DP leather...
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 That's all for Gsellman. GJ kid.0-0 Mets, bottom 6, one on, two out.Smoker.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Author Posted September 14, 2016 Right move IMO pulling Gsellman here with Murph and Harper coming up.Now let's see if it works out.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 I forgot I paused before, I need to catch up.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Intentionally walking the Murph to get to Harper?Collect your million dollars if you predicted before this season seeing that ever happening.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Smoly crap.Way to go, Smokey.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Author Posted September 14, 2016 Seven baserunners allowed over 5-2/3 for Gsellman but none scored largely thanks to three being erased via DP, 1 GiDP plus the two K/CS type.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Why not let Gs'man walk Moiph? Bring in Smoker and his first duty is IBB? Weird.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Who gets to do the intentional walk has long been a curiosity to me. Maybe the idea is to help Smokes get four more warmup pitches.
