Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Runs. Let's get some.Baserunners. Let's start with base runners. Preferably not after two out. But, you know, whatever you can do.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Send Cspedes up for Lagares in the ninth?
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 PapelDouche on for the ninth.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 (edited) Hey De Aza. Want outta my doghouse? Walk this off. Edited July 10, 2016 by Guest
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 They should have Cspedes in the on-deck circle just to scare the pitcher.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Swings at ball 4. From the doghouse to the toilet.*FLUSH
Guest Mets Guy in Michigan Guests Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 You knew the game was over when DeAza was the final batter. If he's still on the roster when we return from the break, I'll be disappointed.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 He should have been DFA'd weeks ago but perhaps Sandy won't admit his mistake or he thinks he can find a sucker for a trade. Either way, having him up in that spot was terrible. If Yo was n/a than Terry didn't have a choice as Loney had to PH for the pitcher.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Marlins win, just to add to the sting...

I'd use deGrom.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 You make a good point Nymr83. They saved Loney with 2 outs for something that never happened.

"Who is this, again? The guy who hit himself," says she, in the ninth.ME: "De Aza. Game's over, I think."AUNT: "Really?"ME: "Probably. I hope to hell I'm wrong, but... yeah."YoungerPooper: "Does that mean we should boo HIM, too?" (We'd been having an ongoing conversation about Murph and Harper, and why fans were booing; she still cheers Murph, quietly.)ME: "No. Probably not. He seems like a nice man, but I just wish someone else were playing his position, because he's not playing very well."YoungerPooper: [After a second] "I'm still cheering Murphy."

Terry outsmarted himself by only taking into account what he knew and not thinking of what the Nats didn't know.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 For what it's worth, I think that Rivera was still available so saving Loney for the unlikely event that de Aza got on wasn't the only option.
