Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 30, 2016 Author Posted June 30, 2016 Well this is messy.Nimmo should have been deeper, right?
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 Familia was owning Zobrist down and crap... why throw him a strike?

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 30, 2016 Author Posted June 30, 2016 Staying with the same pitch since that double.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 30, 2016 Author Posted June 30, 2016 Two biggies. My stars and stirrups.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 30, 2016 Author Posted June 30, 2016 Holy smokes. Loney seemed so detached that I thought he lost it.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 A little more dramatic than I care for, but hats off the Familiafor working through it. Bookagoogies!
Guest Mets Guy in Michigan Guests Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 Wow. I confess that I lost faith there.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 30, 2016 Author Posted June 30, 2016 I think Nimmo's smile is great.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 I couldn't give a shit about Familia's 'streak', but geez that was a much needed win!!

HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 Parachuting in here late, but that pinch runner really has to score on that double in the ninth, right? I know he's a pitcher, yes, and theres no one out, but Nimmo misplayed that bounce off the wall. I was shocked on the initial view that he didn't get sent.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 1, 2016 Author Posted July 1, 2016 No outs. The third base coach is likely playing the odds there. But yeah, if he gets down the line himself (a la Bobby Valentine), he can get a better read on the mis-play, but he may have already had the sign up before the ball dribbled away.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 He danced between 1st & 2nd for a second or three before he was sure it was going to clear Nimmo's head otherwise, yeah, he would havee scored easily.I think it was probably 50/50 that he would have scored anyway if sent but, with no outs, holding him there was the right move. After all, (besides the Mets) who doesn't score from a 2nd & 3rd / no-out situation?!?!?!!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 1, 2016 Author Posted July 1, 2016 I like to think the Mets have given the Cubs their LoB cooties.
