It's mid June and Matt Harvey has lost 9 games. Scripts change all the time but this is a very bad overwrite. I wasn't expecting greatness but I was expecting a good pitcher. Watching from behind the mound it looked like Dillon Gee was pitching.

No offense Mr. Gee, although I don't see any other way you can take it.

The second strike he took in the 9th. In that situation you cannot be just looking at that pitch. It was a perfect pitch to shoot out to right. That was the one to hit. He himself says he thinks his decision making has not been good. I'm going to have to agree.

Regardless, if he can't catch up to that 3-1 pitch earlier, he's not up to speed. Unless he decided to swing late and miss it by half a foot. Could be just a string of bad days, but Plaw hasn't looked fresh for a month now. He's getting days off so he shouldn't look so tuckered out.

We hear it said all the time. Plawecki needs to slow the game down.
