Great to see Laggy back in action.

Great to see a pinch-hit RBI from Reynolds.

Not so great to think that 3/4 of the Mets infield may be grounded.

Asdrubal Cabrera: The Omega Infielder (Apparently)

Certainly now with the first one already in the bag, anything short of 3-of-4 would be a disappointment.

The only thing I'm not ready to do is declare the hitting drought over even with Keith during the wrap-up citing 13 hits as evidence that 'the bats came alive'. There were a ton of seeing-eye hits that could just as easily been outs (or GiDPs!!) but for fortunate placement and even the seemingly good 5-13 w/RiSP is misleading as they were getting one run out of situations where two or more looked not just possible but likely. But at least, unlike in the Pittsburgh series, the breaks were going our way last night as they were the ones hitting at'em balls into 3 GiDPs plus had two other baserunners erased via a CS and a Pick-off.

Making enough contact to get those 13 hits was nice, but it was against a pitcher who was utterly under water. Leaving him out there that long, and erasing their own base runners... the Brewers gave the Mets that game in a silver beer stein.

indeed. would've preferred a few more home runs and a little less contact, but Cespedes is still scuffling some and Duda's out so you got more contact guys in there.
