Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 If they all could be that fast I would endorse replay 100%!

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Man, with a guy on base and everything.I'm very confortable with that outcome.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Who needs kaBOOMS when they got this stuff? I love this stuff, like, right off the wire...I mean, like a minute after the HR that's out there.[fimg=400:2706axfk]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Ci8NwfoXAAEg1uP.jpg[/fimg:2706axfk]

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 That's a lot of baserunners allowed by old friend Carlos T. (21 hits + 12 walks in 21 innings ... now 21-1/3)
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 had a Pine Island IPA and a Charlie's Pale Ale at the Brewery, now a Pipeworks Careful Man, There's a Beverage Here!should I crack open an Arrogant Bastard for the 9th?

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Steven Matz becomes the Mets first LHP to give up two runs or fewer in six consecutive starts since Johan Santana from 2008-2009.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 You know, if the team is willing to pursue an edge enough to have everybody in the bullpen throwing the quick pitch, all the more reason bunting for base hits should be back de table.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Addison Reed has not only been pretty good most of this year, but he's very efficient most of the time too.No muss, no fuss, and no wasted time.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Pretty on top of things for somebody who was reputed not to have the mental game down before he got here.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 I have no memories of Capuano in a Mets uniform. Not a one.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Campbell, like Rudy Stein, probably best able to serve his team by leaning into one now and then.

I'm not a fan of the quick pitch. I am a fan of small ball. I'm a fan of any kind of baseball. I don't know that we should be saying we are only a home run hitting team. This team shouldn't have to live up to that. This team should be able to shift gears to small ball when dictated. So I wish TC would stop saying we live by the homer.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 A little more hitting (and a bit more luck) would have been nice, but this sure beats the hell out of 3-1/2 hour long walk-a-thons we've been suffering through lately.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 That was a great game *SALUTE Mr. MATZ!
