If you're living by the long ball, I'll have to agree.

Steven Matz becomes the Mets first LHP to give up two runs or fewer in six consecutive starts since Johan Santana from 2008-2009.

I think he's pre tty good.

You know, if the team is willing to pursue an edge enough to have everybody in the bullpen throwing the quick pitch, all the more reason bunting for base hits should be back de table.

Addison Reed has not only been pretty good most of this year, but he's very efficient most of the time too.
No muss, no fuss, and no wasted time.

Pretty on top of things for somebody who was reputed not to have the mental game down before he got here.

I don't see the correlation. I'm not a fan of the quick pitch. I am a fan of small ball. I'm a fan of any kind of baseball.

I don't know that we should be saying we are only a home run hitting team. This team shouldn't have to live up to that. This team should be able to shift gears to small ball when dictated. So I wish TC would stop saying we live by the homer.

I have no memories of Capuano in a Mets uniform. Not a one.

I kinda don't either, but I don't think he had that lumberjack-thing
going on that is so popular these days with pitchers.

A little more hitting (and a bit more luck) would have been nice, but this sure beats the hell out of 3-1/2 hour long walk-a-thons we've been suffering through lately.
