Agreed. He can't. I think coming back from this is the biggest possible test a closer could ever have. We need him to do that.

Familia makes a mistake once every 3 months or so. I'm not ready to Looper him.

I have no problem with that at all.

He was coming off five days off, and there was only one more scheduled game before the next day off. With these frequent days off, getting an extra out or two from your closer is much less of an issue. He has time to recover. You know that Familia won't be needed on Thursday.

That fourth out, which was Familia's first, was the most important out of the game. At least to that point.

LOL on the thread title, but Familia has been so money, and has done so with no bullshit (3 hits and 2 walks in 11 innings), that I'm fine seeing him as often as Terry wants when the game's on the line. Let's not forget that dominant 2-out save against LA. This guy's everything you could ask for right now.
