Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Nothing yet on Twitter re: Cespedes but jokes about how there's nothing yet on Twitter re: Cespedes, even from the beat guys, some of whom are retweeting themselves re: the no-news. It's all, like, totally Met-a.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 David Ross comes to bat to "Forever Young"?Sheesh, guys.
Guest El Segundo Escupidor Guests Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 If Jay Gibbons was managing the Mets he'd pull Matz at this point for Harvey.Edit: And by Jay Gibbons I mean John Gibbons
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Sore left shoulder sounds better than possible oblique injury. I'm still holding out hope for an update of a possible hang nail or mental boredom with kicking the Cubs collective asses.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Oblique injury came from someone on Twitter saying they heard it on ESPN. Was all anyone had.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 So down 6 runs and facing elimination, Madden elects to allow the pitcher to hit for himself and then replaces him anyway. Damn, how short a bench does he have, that he can't afford to use a pinch hitter? If you are going to let Woods hit, why not at least send him back out to pitch?

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Soler gets the first hit off the boychik.
Guest El Segundo Escupidor Guests Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 "Can't lift his shoulder" doesn't sound good...
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Cubs have their first threat going. Two on, none out.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Credit to the Cubs fans. They're still in it.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Things getting tense now. A double-play grounder would be welcome.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 The Captain flashing the leather!!!
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Glad to trade the run for the out there. Now get Baez and end this inning.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Nice to get Schwarber there, even with the run scoring. What is this awful, misbegotten auto-tuned walkup music Javier Baez is using. Ugh. Act like a pro, man.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Kid staying calmish. Now he just needs to execute for one more hitter.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Wilmer tracks down a tricky foul pop-up. Only one run for the Cubs.I can live with that.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Hi, I'm Wilmer Flores. I will now break your heart.
Piggiestomatoes Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Bases loaded, no out and all you get is one run??? I'm okay with that.
