Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Wowzers! A bloop and a blast.Ugh, I know they get to do their little bat tossing displays, but I would have to drill him next time up, big time. You see that stare!???Not to mention the bat toss.Crowds throwing shit on the field!!!
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 (edited) To review: three straight Ranger infield errors load the bases with none out, followed by a Ben Revere grounder to first which Mitch Moreland fires home, ostensibly in hopes of the 3-2-3 DP... only Dalton Pompey ankle-whips the catcher Gimenez (a play reviewed and upheld as legal). Then, after Hamels is given the hook (after not allowing a ball out of the infield this inning), Josh Donaldson's pop-force-out at second off reliever Sam Dyson scores the tying run on what might have been the third out... and a Jose Bautista moonshot-- the first hit of the inning for the Jays-- gives the home team a 6-3 lead.Did I get it all so far? Also, is this the weirdest inning, top to bottom, in ALDS history? In postseason history? Edited October 14, 2015 by Guest

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Maybe it's just an Ontarian tradition, this trash throwing, used to express extreme displeasure OR jubilant celebration, or anything else in between. Like the Canadian "aloha" or something.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Wow. What a frame.FOOD FIGHT!!!
Guest El Segundo Escupidor Guests Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Bautista and Tulo are twats.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 If I cap an half-inning like that with a 2-out/3R tie-breaking HR, I'm flipping my bat halfway to Vancouver.Tulo's problems are his bad haircut and his man-crush on Jeter.

I wasn't paying attention at the innings start. It was Andrus taking the throw at 3rd from Beltran, tho, I think. Andrus dropped that. This is postseason as I've been used to it the last bunch of years. It's exciting but I don't really care. If this was happening with or to the Mets, it be a whole nuther ballgame.I mean, could you imagine?
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Talking 86 Mets and Shea. I like
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 If our game 5 goes anything like this one I will need some kind of medication.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 There's only one thing I like about an enclosed stadium. That the crowd sounds like a roaring animal in the background.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 (edited) Man, the Rangers are building a rough post-season history.Three times a AL West winner over a four year span in the '90s, they got wiped out by the Yanx each time winning just one game (1-9)Then they lost back to back World Series in 2010 & '11 including that Game 6 crusher to StL where they were one strike from winning several times. And since then they've tacked on a WC game loss, and now this. That's a lot of soul-crushing defeats in less than a 20 year span. Edited October 14, 2015 by Guest

Guest El Segundo Escupidor Guests Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 The truth is this bat flip deserves its own thread.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 The umpires were faced with a difficult play? They gathered to discuss it, and then checked the rule to make absolutely sure they had it right?Wow. What a fucking concept.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 That bat flip was epic. Lucky he didn't come up again in the game, though.
