Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 They look like world beaters tonight. The Reds are helping. Nats down 8-2 to the Phightin Phils.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 So, when they pull the 'Gaard, which they presumably will, do they go to somebody who needs the work, like O'Flaherty or Parnell, or do they feel an obligation to go with somebody more likely to preserve the shutout?

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Lookie that. He's holding a Synderbat and wearing a Synderhelmet in the dugout. He intends to bat.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Very encouraging perfawmence from Duder.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 FWOW!!We have a battle to see who's going to be the 2015 Mets home run leader.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Granderson having a big night. Hopefully, he has shaken his slump. It appears the change of scenery has does the Mets hitters a world of good.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Uh, Juan. Get better. Chest pain is scary.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 I'm following the game online so I can't actually see the game. Does it appear possible that Uribe's chest pain is related to his diving stop at second base a few nights ago? He appeared to hurt his chest with his diving faceplant and subsequently came out of the game following the inning.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 It does. He tightened up on a check swing.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 They shoot fireworks for a 12-1 homer in Cincy.
Piggiestomatoes Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 He wasn't going to pitch the 9th. Why put him out in the 8th?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 To get him to 100 pitches, I imagine.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 When I turned on the game yesterday (Thurs) I was shocked to discover that Jason Bourgeois was black. Then I realized I was conflating him with Angel turned Cardinal* Peter Bourjos* as opposed to Pope Francis who many this week seem to be saying is a Cardinal turned Angel
Piggiestomatoes Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Stretching him out for the playoffs? lol
Guest Mets Willets Point Guests Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Crap, the lead isn't big enough for O'Flaherty!
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 This just in: Eric O'Flaherty, bad at baseball.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 If a batter extends his on-base streak vs Eric O'Flaherty, does it still count in the record books?
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 I never thought I would be happy to see O'Flaherty pitching in a game, but if ever there was a time to get him some work while resting more valuable arms this is it. I feel pretty confident that this game is O'Flaherty proof.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Fman99 wrote:This just in: Eric O'Flaherty, bad at baseball.Votto be pretty good too.
Piggiestomatoes Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 They should have O'Flaherty throw BP. Big confidence boost for the hitters.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Parnell, kill buzz. Shave that thang!!
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 This just in: Bobby Parnell, equally bad at baseball.
Piggiestomatoes Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Three more hitters for a save situation.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 On the plus side, though, the beard's resplendent.Third out, finalmente.
