6-4 looked so promising, and then....

For those who want to crucify TC for using Parnell there, didn't we have to find out if Bobby was going to be any use going forward? This was the Phils. He should have been able to put up a clean inning. Unfortunately, I think we just witnessed the end of Parnell's career, and that's a shame.

"This is one of those games where you say, 'OK, guys, don't worry about taking pitches; get to rippin'. The only way you're going to get back in the game is to swing the bats.'"

Keith, I disagree. And I probably would've disagreed even if I didn't just see the Phillies score eight runs on three hits.

lol, sorry. I was reacting to other stuff I was reading thru the wonders of social media. I shouldn't have started that with your quote but it set me thinking.

The consensus is that after just inching in the direction of a comeback @ 6-4, this was not the spot to test Parnell. I say, then when would that spot be?

Larry Anderson on the Phillies broadcast just relayed that the 1st time he opposed the Mets it wasn't at Shea bit at MFY Stadium. "They were renovating Shea," he said.

So his brain sucks as bad as his broadcasting.

I wouldn't even afford him the extra flavor.

I think I don't need to see Carlos Torrez ever again.

Torres has been a big part of the 2015 Mets. You would miss him in a day.

And he sure doesn't deserve conflation with Mike Torrez.

Nope, Lewes....never mind :) But how is Lewes? We've often wondered

Great place to camp. Tent sites in soft pine forest, short walk/ride to the ocean. Downtown Lewes cute in an old east coast town kinda way.

He's just gassed. We need to see him rested.

Are there unicorn loss games? Mets down by a touchdown.

Man, that place emptied out pretty fast. I like that the people in the cheaper seats are sticking it out. There's your true Mets fans.

How about in a game where the margin is much greater than two runs?

That's the other side of it. And sure. But I'd have wanted to see if we could use Parnell in the clutch, put him in that spot. Sometimes a player will find a little something extra in a big spot. And all he had to do was keep it where it was.

I dunno, I just don't hang this on TC. I figured this for a loss before Parnell came in. And we know that Parnell might never again be Bobby of old (surely not this season) and that he might not be good enough to be a pure "pitcher", and that's a shame.

I wanted 2 of 3 here vs the Phils. Flush this one. Tomorrow we go get em.
