Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 I trust that I don't even have to say 'No Bunts' here ... right?
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Layne Meyer. My main Wei er man.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 This guy is something. Set up to fail and in a rush to do so.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Damn!! He should have bunted.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Well that went from promising to shit in a hurry.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Hm. Mets- Red Sox tied at 3 going to extra innings. That turned out OK last time.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 The Mets ungraciously refuse to accept the gift presented to them.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Not that time.Wright swinging at junk from a junk-dealer.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 (edited) I was just about to type that I was hoping that a 12-pitch inning would get Familia another one.But not in today's game it doesn't. Edited August 28, 2015 by Guest

Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 On the bright side, O'Flaherty did his job and got his man. So anything is possible. Put on your rally caps.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Bleh. 2 bad DPs, didn't like having to tie it on a 2-out walk vs. a 1-out out, this one reminds me of the Pittsburgh Friday-niter which was the beginning of a long weekend.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 2nd night in a row where we've been handed a ton of walks but no hits w/RiSP (until the very end Thursday night) and obviously tonight the GiDPs in the 9th and then in the 10th killed us. Also the first time we've been out-HR'd in a while.Lack of bullpen depth also hasn't helped but the way to combat that might have been to have Harvey pitch the 7th and Familia pitch a second frame.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Oh, tying run at plate again.

Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Where's Mookie when you need him?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 This guy seems uncomfortable still.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 I don't think they will. They don't tend to do that.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 The Red Sox pen isn't much for throwing strikes. Has to be maddening for a manager.

Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Wow. A Cespedes single could tie it.

Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Harvey goes 7 and this is a whole different game. Just saying.

But I'm not assessing blame. They have a plan, they are sticking to it. Sucks when it burns like that. We aren't going to win 'em all, and the Nats lost. Not a good day at the office but not a bad one either. Is there anything of interest I should look for if I fast forward through this game? Should I even fast forward through this game?
