Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Wouldn't it be funny if Colon is effected by the HBP but the effect is more movement on his pitches..
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 We've worn a real path through the 4-6 hole.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 2nd inning and every one except d'Arnaud and Conforto have a hit. Cess & Kelly have 2. Colons HBP counts as a hit of sorts.
Guest Mets Willets Point Guests Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Wow! I just tuned in and saw Colorado bringing in a reliever. I like this.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 So we're doing a bit better than one hit against this guy this time, eh?That 2nd inning was nearly fifty pitches of Gray.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 First batter to face Bart goes yard in the 2nd. He doesn't look like the HBP has effected him as far as his demeanor goes. That wasn't a horrible pitch, away, but not away enough.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Keith's right, you have to pitch inside here. You'll get burned if the batter catches up to it, but you get burned anyway, and pitching guys away gets you burned more frequently when you have the bats perform like they're made of aluminum.
Guest Mets Willets Point Guests Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 I know beggars can't be choosers, but I'm bummed that the MLB Free Game of the Day is the Rockies' broadcast.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Mr. Colon, I am impressed. Man, that coulda been trouble. If it was gonna stiffen up or swell or whatever it would have by now, right?
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 7 run innings are great but when they're the 2nd inning in Denver it can make for a worrisome night.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Brewers just scored on a bases-loaded catcher's interference.8-2 top 7. Still batting, bases still loaded, one out.Wait, did I say 8? I meant 10 as two come in on a sac fly + error.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Hey Gary, stop over-romanticizing Jos. He was pulled from a game twice for not running balls out and he probably deserved it more than that.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 ooo, what a weak throw from Johnson. Gah, it hit the mound.7-3 Mets.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Kelly hits my shit list. But in pencil. He can get that erased later if he makes up for his limited range and noodle arm.7-4 Milehigh Mets
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Ouch, you can see the lump on Colon's forearm.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Whoaaa, thats a big bump on his arm.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Cespedes SMOKES another PUFFBOOM!
Guest Mets Willets Point Guests Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Cespedes hits it Rocky Mountain High again.

Guest Mets Willets Point Guests Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 This is gonna be a long night.Nice fence-climbing by Cespedes.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 I know Terry was trying to nurse him through 5, but with that welt on his forearm he should have been on a shorter leash.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 I wouldn't stick a fork in Colon. He's all gristle.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Yeah we're in trubble

Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Colon might be large, but he doesn't have poultry wings.
