Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2015 Author Posted July 14, 2015 Right now, wouldn't it be nice to have Adrian Gonzalez as a pinch hitter?Screw you, Bruce Bochy. Manage to win, you nincompoop.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 You can see Daniel Ray Herrera bringing it for Camden in the Atlantic League this summer.I love that somebody woke up in the morning one day and said, "You know, fuck it, I'm bringing independent minor league baseball to Camden."

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 How about leaving deGrom in for another inning of deGromination?
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2015 Author Posted July 14, 2015 I thought Braun was an injury replacement.I just don't get it. Bochy should understand at this point that home field advantage means something. Why not manage to win? I don't mean throwing DeGrom 6 innings; but the mass substitutions are terrible.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 Home field or not, no ASG manager has managed to win in 50 years.Mets will have to win the World Series in six.

Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 So who won?And the extra day off tomorrow is still stupid.

I like Edgys week off proposal but that's just gonna make the break even tougher on us. I only saw deGroms inning on the mound & interview afterwards. I might try to watch the whole game tonight. Those caps they wore were hideous.

Those corporate money grab market surveyed caps baseball's corporate bean counters pushed out ruined my all-star experience. For me the MLB ASG was always about whatever Mets were on the team and the uniforms, the aesthetic spectacle, the pageantry of all those baseball colors, like I probably said in another thread or two. And those idiotic caps, to me, are a stain on the whole thing. Goddamnit.

I had this on last night but my brothers and I did our annual ASG/BaseballCard/pack party thing. We were having so much fun yakkin & opening the packs that we weren't watching the game until we saw deGrom come on. And after his interview with Erin Andrews we went back to ignoring the game. I'm gonna have to scan my card haul cause I did great in the Mets department.Game itself has been boring--knowing what's going to happen is a major factor. The pre-game with Rose & the Reds, meh, nice. But it won't change the hole he has dug for himself. Joe Morgan looked surprisingly frail. The tribute to Aaron, Bench, Koufax, Mays & some guy with a pencil mustache was excellent. I enjoyed seeing that, so far, the highlight for me.At least until the 6th. I wanna jump ahead but I'll sit thru this boring badly brimmed bullshit while I scan some cards.
