nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 He completely lost that in the sun, looked like he was auditioning to be part of the Mets defense
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 That wasn't an error? That was a pop up that had to be caught. Sun shmun, he blew an easy out.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Disregard that. It was a Met triple. I should not complain.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 If a pitch brushes through Van Slyke's beard is that a hit by pitch? Or just a close shave?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Not to look too far ahead, but since he's on the mound, Verrett looks like a candidate for the rotation next year.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 wow. Flores, 10 hits in his last 13 at bats. Sizzzzzzlin'
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Anyone who bet the 'Over' on Logan Verrett ABs this year, step up now to the window to collect your winnings.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Verrett grabbing an at-bat with the bags juiced, but he's not hitting like a Met pitcher. NO ROOM IN THE ROTATION FOR YOU!

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 A much needed display of offense, a beautiful thing to see on this beautiful afternoon. Matz looked terrific. Verrett very very good.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 And a winning series which was definitely needed.Still a lot of problems remain. The run scoring was thin in the first two games but it was also Kershaw & Greinke so you can't be too critical on that front. But they then got to the lesser part of the rotation and pen and put up 11 runs over the final 11 innings. And now on to San Fran.
