I was thinking the same thing. With two out they might have gone that way. But I don't think Terry's radicalized enough yet to use a pitcher to lead off.

If they pull Familia here, there'll be a double switch anyhow.

Leading off an inning I'd be even more inclined to use a pitcher rather than Monell. deGrom and/or Matz, both of whom are probably faster than Monell also.
