With two out they might have gone that way. But I don't think Terry's radicalized enough yet to use a pitcher to lead off.If they pull Familia here, there'll be a double switch anyhow.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2015 Author Posted July 1, 2015 (edited) Leading off an inning I'd be even more inclined to use a pitcher rather than Monell. deGrom and/or Matz, both of whom are probably faster than Monell also. Edited July 1, 2015 by Guest
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Well, not Terry.And... Robles comes in without double switching. The virtue of stretching your pitching in extra innings seems to have been lost.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Grandy to get a crack here, he's the best bet for a walk off blast these days.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Kevin Long needs a public shaming or something. Hey! A double play actually turned!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Well, now we'll see if we get a pitcher.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 ...not that it mattered. Muffy did all he could there, IMO. He got on that fast and threw a bullet.
