Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 yeaaaaaaaa muffy. Doubles Duda to third.0 outs. Now come on....we GOTTA SCORE.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Whelp, I guess it's too late to suggest we should have pinch-run for Duda. Not sure we still shouldn't, with Francouer in right, but it's not like there are any obvious candidates. (Muno?)
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 If we don't score it's traction for me too.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Tghis guys wild. Dont swing at anything up in the zone.oo, nice pitch..Flores drills it to right center and drives in Duda w/ a sac fly!4-4 Mets
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 But it wasn't a homer and that's what he was brought in to do ... or so I heard.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Oh man!Holy crap! And C was hustling his ass off. Howd he make that play?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Familia gets through the inning even though retiring only one batter.Someone now needs to take advantage of that.

I never put it that way. He was in. Our selection for the position was what we had. He was selected as the starting shortstop and the team is trying to sell me on his power, his ability to add punch to a line up that needs it. So I have my expectations. And he did punch that liner for an RBI.These Phil talking idiots said he's a dead pull hitter. We know this isn't totally true cause we've seen how he can flick them to right when he gets a certain type outside pitch. He can also inside out it to right if he needs to. We've seen him do it. I expect and hope for more than just HRs out of Wilmer. But for now, as he is being sold, I'll be judging him for that. If he goes on a hitting tear and bats .500 for the next month (w/ no homers), I will gladly adjust my thinking.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Pick your extra-inning hero.I'm going with Laggy.

Flores has been our shortstop since day one. The Mets tell me his offensive numbers will make up for his fielding. I don't think he'll ever hit for average.Whew. Familia Ks Howard. And Laggy singles to lead it off. Niiiice.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 The bunt is still damn close to a gimme.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Come on Murphy. Put an end to this game right here.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Cant in sudden death. Duda takes the walk the ump didn't want to give him. That 3rd ball was low.Did Murph just show bunt?
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 The old double play. Cuddy up with Lags on 3rd.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Jeeze, let the guy walk it in Wilmer. Or hit one of those home runs that I expect of you.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 A single and /or double is also acceptable.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 [bigpurple:8phqg7f2]YAY![/bigpurple:8phqg7f2]
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Wilmer's the best thing they've got going right now.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Sounds like the Steve Gelbs Hologram Generator is low on power.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Once again, disappointed that we couldn't keep things in order for deGrom, but two of those runs were his. Very glad we did not let this one get away.
