Chicago has dropped seven of its last nine overall and has lost three straight series. Mets' right-hander Jacob deGrom aims for his first road win of the season after ending up on the losing end of his first two starts away from home. Guest Mets Guy in Michigan Guests Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Logo size: advantage Mets! Our logo is SO Much better than theirs! And have you seen Clark, the new mascot? (Which is not one of the many people walking outside Wrigley in bear outfits offering to pose for photos for a fee.)
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Wrigley looks so alien to me now. I think it looks good, great new scoreboard there, but strange. I guess I'd rather see this than them ever leaving Wrigley.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Not an auspicious start for Little d....
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Ugh. Hope deGrom was not a flash in the pan.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 I may be wrong about this, but when the other team hits more balls over the wall (2) in one inning than we hit out of the infield (0) over two innings, that's not a good thing, is it?
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Tiny strike zone from this ump.

Guest Mets Guy in Michigan Guests Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Somebody read the KTE to deGrom. He seems to have forgotten that he's a bad ass.Has he been the same since the end of the streak? The whole team hasn't been as good, of course. But he seems to have fallen off after a strong start.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 He looked great in his last start, but pitched like shit against the MFY's.Maybe some sophomore adjustments - I think that ultimately he'll be fine. But this isn't his night.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Do you suppose the reason why David Ross is the personal catcher for Jon Lester is that they look too much alike not to pair them up? Same round face, same balk head, similar beards. The only way I can tell them apart is that Ross is older and so his beard is graying.
Guest Mets Guy in Michigan Guests Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 We're back in this!Duda-BOOM followed by a Wilmer-BOOM!!!
Guest Mets Guy in Michigan Guests Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 And does Wilmer now lead the team in homers?
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Robles needs to pitch more.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 I don't often say this, but I kind of like the idea of getting into a battle of bullpens tonight.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Carlyle's lack of a pause is gonna bite him bad one day.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Duda way off the bag. Very gutsy. Saves a little bit of our tempeh.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Grimm is putting everything on the outside part of the plate.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 And Cuddy takes one the other way. NICE.Lefty coming on to face Doo.
Guest Mets Guy in Michigan Guests Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Bad luck for Lucas to rip that right at Rizzo. That might have been our last best opportunity.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Leadoff walk.Almost 100% chance that Dilson bunts here, right?
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 See above. That's why you don't bunt.
