Guest Mets Willets Point Guests Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 They were fine as a change of pace for a few seasons, but they definitely hung on to them way too long. The '99 & '00 seasons will always make those uniforms memorable. But I wouldn't want to see them return.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Yeah, they should have jettisoned them when the Minaya/Randolph management took over. They did wear out their welcome.

metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 purple plaid would be fucking awesome. i liked the black jerseys and the all black caps. i hated the black drop shadow, and i really hated the black caps with the blue bills. and i'm orange dot agnostic.and lest i forget, the blue shirts with black lettering were the worst. blue with orange and the white piping makes me weak in the knees.
