Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Mets haven't won since yesterday. Eric Stults vs Dillon GeeStults sucks. Gee's due for a good game where he hits his spots. Gee's 48 consecutive starts of at least five innings is the longest active such streak in the Majors and two away from tying Doc Gooden's club record

The Mets host the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday and Plawecki figures to be behind the plate again, one night after recording two hits, scoring two runs and throwing out a base runner in the Mets 7-1 victory.Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-priority:99; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin-top:0in; mso-para-margin-right:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:10.0pt; mso-para-margin-left:0in; line-height:115%; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:11.0pt; font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif; mso-ascii-font-family:Calibri; mso-ascii-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-hansi-font-family:Calibri; mso-hansi-theme-font:minor-latin;} The Mets have weathered injuries (David Wright, dArnaud) and suspension (Jenrry Mejia) to begin the season 11-3, matching the 1986 team for best start in franchise history. Trevor Cahill, who gave up four runs in four-plus innings Tuesday, and Eric Stults are a combined 0-3 with a 7.71 ERA. As long as he doesn't grow that merkin again.
