I was actually scared of Gomes there, and BAM -- welcome to the Familia.

Put that in the muthafuckin books.

Familia with a cool, celebrationless celebration.

Accidental double post.

Losing the first two to the Braves sucks, but I think this was a decent start to the season. The bats will heat up a little more.

And, say what you will about managers over-playing L/R (and I agree that they do at times), but Fredi having those three LHBs lined up in a row [Markakis, Freeman, Pierzynski] plays right into the hands of a good LOOGY
Now I realize the Braves were stacking the lineup today vs Bartolo, but even one RHB mixed in among those three hitters there at least changes the thinking for Terry and maybe the outcome.

Leading the Majors in strikeouts, and still manages a key GIDP today.

Never thought of seeing "Key" and "GIDP" in the same sentence.

MdD plays the 10th inning as a defensive replacement this afternoon, gets no chances.

Two plate apparitions through the first six games.

this will become less of an issue once the long blond hair comes in.

I'm sure whatever you pick would be cool. 1999 for Shawon Dunston, one of three Mets to have her initials? (sans middle name, no matches there)

I was thinking more about the six homers in spring training.

I guess all that Mets gear blinded me to the pink pants. Sorry about that Ceets. Lemme open that up and see how many frames it is.
