MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 The MFY is lighter than Mr. Met because MFY,s and their fans, are just full of hot air.Later
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 but... mr met doesn't speak...
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Yeah, there's that. He's also not general depicted as a gnomically proportioned, relative to humans, but anthropomorphically sized. Additionally, to get the effect you're meaning to get, you need to italicize where the emphasis falls: "THAT'S MR. MET TO YOU!" or "THAT'S MR. MET TO YOU!" I'd even spell out "Mister Met," even though his name is more typically depicted as "Mr. Met" to give people a feeling for the pronunciation: "THAT'S MISTER MET TO YOU!"Nice artwork, but editorially it's all over the place.(Amazingly, Spellcheck accepts "gnomically" as an actual word.)
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Yes, the Mister should definitely have been bigger or bolder then the rest of the text, or italicized. But I don't mind the change to the body proportions. Think of it as a caricature of Mr. Met.
